With its raw rock-and-roll sounds, the album concept was a collaboration between Erwin Romulo and Jason Tan. Zilch received a nominatation for "Album Packaging Excellence Award" in the "Best Album Package" category for the 29th AWIT Awards — an award in the Philippines given annually by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry to recognize the outstanding achievements in the music industry. 

The LP cover features fragmented yellow lettering spelling "ZILCH" atop photographs by noted photography Tim Serrano.
